Her mother was fairly old and very set in her ways; I was strongly encouraged to eat whatever appeared in front of me without demur. Yup - sprouts. Really soft, sixty-minutes-boiled sprouts. The worst of it was that she gave me (as guest) the largest portion.

Reader, I ate 'em. I did actually heave at one point, but I suppressed it and got them down. Ever since then there's been nothing I can't eat (although I do prefer to avoid sprouts).Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07009879034507926661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623537812609722663.post-48236125663861838362013-12-31T15:18:40.554+00:002013-12-31T15:18:40.554+00:00You missed my own pun there, John! You missed my own pun there, John!Neville Grundyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10923209266005338452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5623537812609722663.post-29527921320003284142013-12-31T10:57:13.273+00:002013-12-31T10:57:13.273+00:00
