Couldn’t help raising a smile at
this bar which I chanced upon when nosing around Peebles on Google StreetView. Somehow I doubt whether Dickie English will be beating a path to the door. It would be ironic if it did actually serve the real stuff, although I very much doubt it.
Ah, this must be the craft keg revolution! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMore bullying of Dickie? It's too anti CAMRA is the beer blogs.
ReplyDeleteWell fear not, if you ever find yourself faced with that staring at you, get 8 miles down the road to this wonderful place. Just had a bottle of their Bear Ale, as it happens.
ReplyDeleteClearly somewhere else that will "will reinforce the perception of keg, not cask, as the high-quality, carefully presented product commanding a price premium".
ReplyDeleteThe revolution gathers momentum!

ReplyDeleteIf it had Punk IPA, Jaipur and Innis & Gunn on keg it probably would. More likely McEwans Lager and Best Scotch, though...
